Traveling the world is tough work, but no matter how jet-set your life is, there’s always time to unwind and pamper yourself. If you’re wondering what to do before traveling this fall, make sure to slot in a little “me time” and hit up one of these three luxurious spas for a decadent experience.
Ciel Spa by Pearl Wellness is part of the chic SLS Hotel at the intersection of West Hollywood and Beverly Hills is Los Angeles. The 5,000 square-foot spa was designed by Philippe Starck and boasts a soothing minimalist white design with six treatment rooms, including a couples massage room with side-by-side soaking tubs all complimented by the 1,000 foot relaxation lounge with bite-size snacks by SLS Hotel Culinary Director, Jose Andres. Ciel Spa is the first Los Angeles spa to feature Biologique Recherché skincare, the French skincare line known for using pure, concentrated raw ingredients with active ingredients. For fall, focus on rejuvenating your body with their P50 Body Polish. This treatment utilizes Biologique Recherché Lotion P50 Corps, which exfoliates, purifies and moisturizes your skin. Then you are massaged with a mix of argan oil and cypress essential oil to even out your skin’s appearance before you are slathered in a hydrating and protecting moisturizer.
Spa Botánico at Dorado Beach, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve
Make Puerto Rico your destination for rejuvenation this fall. The five-acre Spa Botánico is set within a fragrant pineapple garden and lush natural landscaping at Dorado Beach — a 50-acre island retreat encircled by coral reefs, blue Caribbean waters and a lush tropical forest. The Lunar Treatment is the spa’s signature offering this season. The experience is a 60-minute massage performed in the privacy of the spa’s open-air Tree House treatment rooms during new and full moons. You will enjoy this celestial experience while surrounded by the incredible scent of bay rum leaves, lemongrass and ginger growing throughout the spa sanctuary throughout autumn.
The Spa at Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora
Just thinking about the tropical paradise in French Polynesia is enough to relax anyone on the go. But no visit to the Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora is complete without a visit to their spa. The Kahaia Spa Suite is a personal oasis that floats above a secluded lagoon lined with palm trees and distant views of Mount Otemanu. The indoor/outdoor experience features a rain shower and soaking tub big enough for sharing. And just when you think they couldn’t think of anything else, you lie down on one of the the treatment beds, which have glass windows below where you can gaze onto views of the water, letting yourself relax a little further. The signature treatment at the spa is the Kahaia Haven Ritual. The skin-smoothing body treatment, begins with cleansing using naturally exfoliating kahaia body scrub, legendary Tahitian black pearl powder and native vanilla. Once the skin is prepared, you will receive a massage of your choice. This experience concludes with a holistic and de-stressing Water and Light express facial.
